  • 2 serves

Ingredients

  • Pulp of one mango
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 3 teaspoons freshly chopped mint

Method

  1. Place all ingredients, excluding mint in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Serve in chilled glasses. Sprinkle with mint.

Tips

  • Mangoes are rich in the nutrient beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is converted to vitamin A in our bodies, which has been shown to have a protective effect against some forms of cancer.
  • Choose mangoes with a strong, sweet aroma. Watch out for too many black spots or bruises.
  • You can find mangoes in the shops from June through to March, but they're definitely at their best between December and January.
